Baltic Book Fair 2014 on the Way to Readers

From 28 February to 2 March the most significant book event of the year will be held at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre – the International Book and Publishers Exhibition "Baltic Book Fair 2014". During these days Kipsala will be transformed into an inspiring world of books, gathering authors, translators, publishers and readers.

"Riga, as the European Capital of Culture 2014, has impressively manifested its respect to the Book! This was confirmed by the "Chain of Book Lovers"" consisting of 14 000 people, the TV show "Great Reading" where the 100 most popular books in Latvia were defined, activities of the President of Latvia Andris Bērziņš regarding the presentation of books to schools as part of the "Friendly Appeal" campaign, as well as activities of higher educational institutions in the celebration of jubilees of outstanding scholars. Drawing inspiration from the already started activities, we shall also continue the good traditions at this exhibition," said the Baltic Book Fair Project Manager Valts Jirgensons.

The exhibition has turned into an awaited and well-considered holiday, where a book is an object of knowledge, information, experience and a pastime. During the three days of the exhibition one will be able to enjoy authors’ readings, participate in book opening events, meet with renowned writers, attend an exposition of books, get news from publishers and obtain books at very friendly prices.

Opening Hours:
28 February – 1 March 10:00–18:00
2 March 10:00–17:00
