Starting from 31 August the airline Air Lituanica
launches daily flights to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The flights will be
operated in the morning time. Passengers will have even more opportunities to
travel across the world through Amsterdam by connecting flights.
“I am of course delighted that there are going to be
direct flights again between Vilnius and Schiphol Airport. I am certain
that this will contribute to the strengthening of our economic and cultural
ties,” says Kornelis Spaans,
Dutch Ambassador in Lithuania.

“We gave a promise to our passengers that Amsterdam
would make its way to our flight map, and half a year later you can already buy
tickets to the capital of the Netherlands,” says Air Lituanica Commerce Director
Simonas Bartkus. He adds that the Amsterdam route fills a huge gap in the map
of direct flights of Vilnius Airport and expands the connection with Lithuania
from various corners of the world.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the largest airport in
the Netherlands and one of the most important airports in Europe and worldwide.
It is the fourth busiest airport in Europe and the sixteenth busiest airport in
the world. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is an excellent location for travelers to
continue their journey to more remote places; hence, this route should be
appreciated by passengers in search of convenient connecting flights. Airport
Schiphol offers flights to 133 cities in 66 countries. What is more, other Dutch cities and the
cities of the neighboring countries are within easy reach from Amsterdam.
The plane will take off from Vilnius to Amsterdam at 7
a.m. and will depart from Amsterdam to Vilnius at 9.05 a.m. The flight duration
is 2 hours 20 min. The total of 5,100 seats will be offered on these flights
per month. Flights will be operated by aircraft Embraer 175 with 86 seats.
Tickets to Amsterdam are already available, with fares
starting from EUR 69. You can purchase your tickets through Air Lituanica
