Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd
largest carrier in Europe, increases its flights between Vilnius and
Istanbul today. Effective from the 28th of April, the schedule increases
from 3 weekly to 6 weekly flights. The additional three flights operate
on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays using Airbus 319 and Airbus 320
aircrafts, which are configured for two classes; Business and Economy.
"Turkish Airlines’, Lithuania General Manager H. Serkan BINYAR, who
travelled with the 1st direct flight from Istanbul to Vilnius today,
said : “The increase in our flights from Vilnius is a direct response to
strong demand we saw since the start of our service in June 2013.
Turkish Airlines has had a strong year in 2013 in Vilnius and now there
are three more flights to serve Istanbul. We also serve the most popular
destinations in the Middle East, the Far East, Africa and Europe. The
increased frequency will provide our passengers convenient departure
times and better connections from Vilnius via Istanbul.”
Turkish Airlines, in 2011, 2013 and 2013 recognized by Skytrax as the
Best Airline in Europe, boasts flights to over 247 destinations with a
fleet of 241 aircraft configured with state-of-the-art cabin features;
including the Comfort Class (Premium Economy) on Transatlantic, Far East
and China routes.
Turkish Airlines was also given the Skytrax designation of World’s Best
Business Class On-board Catering in 2013, World’s Best Economy Class
On-board Catering in 2010, and Skyscanner’s Best On-board Food 2011.
Long haul Business Class passengers can also enjoy the Flying Chef
service on-board.
Serving Vilnius route since June 2013, Turkish Airlines provide

East, Africa, India, China, Asia and Europe via its main hub airport in
