With the arrival of summer and active
travel season, Riga International Airport kindly requests the passengers
to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled
flight to have sufficient time for settling the necessary formalities.
Riga International Airport reminds you
that, in addition to traditional checking in, the airport provides the
following options for the passengers’ convenience:
- Self-check-in kiosks – for the clients of the following airlines:
airBaltic, Lufthansa, Transaero, LOT and Finnair. Each airline has
specific rules of starting and finishing checking in. Therefore we
advise you, before checking in, to find out more about these rules on
your airline’s website;
- Online check-in – for the clients of the following airlines:
airBaltic, Ryanair, Finnair, Lufthansa, Transaero, Aeroflot, Utair, LOT,
Turkish Airlines and Wizz Air. Each airline has specific rules of
starting and finishing checking in. Therefore we advise you, before
checking in, to find out more about these rules on your airline’s
website.
- Morning check-in - for the clients of the following airlines: Finnair,
LOT and Lufthansa – on the departure date, starting from 8:00 in the
morning, it is possible to check in for the flights scheduled on that
day. It is also possible to drop off your luggage. Upon checking in, the
passenger will receive a boarding pass;
- Twilight check-in – for the passengers of airBaltic - from 19:00 –
22:00 in the evening before the departure day. Passengers can also drop
off their baggage there. Upon checking in, the passenger will receive a
boarding pass, and on the next day, with the boarding pass ready, the
passenger should arrive at the airport well in advance of the flight,
reserving sufficient time for security control procedures.
