Wizz Air launches flights from Riga to Dortmund

The low-cost airline "Wizz Air" launched flights from the Riga International Airport to Dortmund, Germany on September 1. The flights take place on Wednesdays and Sundays, using "Airbus 320" aircraft.

At the beginning of August, "Wizz Air" announced further expansion in Riga. The airline will bring to Riga its second aircraft – a brand new "Airbus A320" – for flights to Hamburg, Lübeck, Stavanger and Liverpool.

The new destinations will become available from April 22, 2015, and the flights will take place twice a week. During the summer season of 2015, the airline will increase the number of flights to some of its most popular destinations. Starting April 22, flights to Luton, London will take place 11 times a week, while to Doncaster Sheffield – three times a week.

"Wizz Air" now offers flights to eleven destinations in six countries from the Riga Airport.

Last year, "Wizz Air" flew 230,000 passengers to and from Riga.

"Wizz Air" operates in eighteen airports using 53 "Airbus A320" airplanes and offers flights to 300 destinations in 35 countries. Last financial year, which for "Wizz Air" ended this past March, the airline transported 13.9 million passengers.
