The Rally Sarma 2025 organizers preparing roads - The rally will happen!
With winter returning to the Gulbene region and forecasts predicting consistently low temperatures in the coming weeks, the Rally Sarma 2025 organizers are actively working on preparing the roads for the event. As soon as the frost set in, the roads were compacted and leveled to ensure smooth and race-ready special stages. Additionally, an exciting agreement has been reached - on February 15, the 50th-anniversary edition of Rally Sarma will also feature SSV class participants with their fast and dynamic buggies.

"According to forecasts, the toughest phase is behind us. We have completely ruled out the idea of canceling the rally, and now we have more work than we can imagine. Roads need to be properly prepared for the drivers' enjoyment, all adjustments due to the one-week postponement must be finalized—such as relocating the rally headquarters to a different venue—and the list goes on. The most important thing is that Saint Peter has shown mercy, and the rally is happening! Now we just hope for even more snow, so we can build solid snowbanks along the roads for the drivers to lean on in tricky moments," says Rally Sarma Director Vilhelms Sniedzāns.

Rally Sarma 2025 will feature three highly engaging special stages, each to be run twice. None of the stages are shorter than 15 kilometers, and as befits a jubilee rally, they have been carefully designed to capture the essence of Rally Sarma—each stage intertwines sections from well-known routes, historic rally stages that have been long forgotten, and brand-new road segments.

The registration deadline for Rally Sarma 2025 is February 7, 2025. Organizers hope that Baltic competitors will believe in the return of winter and register in time. More details about Rally Sarma can be found on the Latvian Rally Championship website autorally.lv and on social media.
