The Latvian airline airBaltic has reached a historic milestone in 2024, achieving its highest-ever annual passenger numbers. In total, the airline carried 8 300 000 passengers and operated 73 300 flights (including airlines ACMI-out operations). Preliminary data for 2024 shows that the company has also exceeded its pre-pandemic records.

airBaltic’s scheduled passenger numbers reached an all-time high in 2024, with a total of 5 200 000 passengers carried across all its bases – Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria. The load factors also reached a record-high of 81.2% for the year, reflecting a significant year-over-year increase of 4.5 percentage points. In 2024, airBaltic operated 47 000 flights across its network, demonstrating a 7% growth compared to 2023.
December results in 2024 mark another record-breaking month for passenger numbers, and load factor. In December 2024, airBaltic carried 423 000 passengers – a 25% increase compared to the previous year – operated 3 820 flights, and achieved a load factor of 80.1%.
