Following a record-breaking year in 2024, the Latvian airline airBaltic has started 2025 strongly, setting new benchmarks for passenger numbers and load factor in January. Last month, the airline carried 327 500 passengers across all its bases, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year. The load factor rose to 75.4%, reflecting a significant year-over-year increase of 3.6 percentage points. These results mark the highest-ever January passenger traffic in the airline's history.

Recently, airBaltic announced its highest-ever annual passenger numbers for 2024, with a total of 8.3 million passengers carried and 73 300 flights operated (including all passenger types and airlines ACMI-out operations). Preliminary data for 2024 indicates that the airline has surpassed its pre-pandemic records, highlighting its strong growth and continued success.
