In May 2026, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 466 500 passengers across its network – a 2% increase year-on-year and the highest May passenger volume in the airline’s history.

During the month, airBaltic operated 4 407 flights, representing a 3.4% increase compared to May 2025. The load factor remained broadly stable at 77.8%, decreasing by only 0.7 percentage points, due to the higher capacity deployed compared to the same period last year.

During the first five months of 2026, airBaltic carried a total of 1 947 400 passengers across its network, marking a 4.5% increase compared to the same period last year and the highest passenger volume ever recorded by the airline for the January-May period. Over the same timeframe, airBaltic operated 19 100 flights, up 4.7% year-on-year.

In 2025, airBaltic carried a total of 5.2 million passengers across its network – the highest number the airline has ever transported in a single year. During the year, the company operated 48 300 flights, representing a 3% increase compared to 2024.
