On May 18, from 12:00 - 21:00, we invite all oyster and seafood lovers to the 13th Oyster Festival.

There will be an opportunity to taste 12 different types of oysters and a wide range of seafood Street Food.
There will be duels between the fastest oyster openers in the Baltics and both professionals and amateurs will compete with each other in opening oysters.

The guests will be entertained by a magician and a mime, who has become a symbol of the festival.
There will be musical surprises and a chance to win valuable prizes in contests, quizzes and competitions. There will also be a children's creative workshop.

This time, more space has been allocated for indoor tables, and for the convenience of festival visitors, additional tables will be placed in the Berga bazārs (in the former MyFitness premises).

Visitors of the Oyster Festival will be welcomed in the museum Latvians Abroad - a museum and research center in the premises (next to the Buržujs restaurant), where they will have the opportunity to practice calligraphy and see the exhibition dedicated to Janis Sternberg's graphic workshop in the Fischbach refugee camp in Germany.
Entrance to the festival is free.

The festival area will have standing desks, the terraces of the neighboring cafes will also be available. For those who want guaranteed seats, we recommend booking a VIP table on the terrace of the "Buržujs" restaurant.

13th Oyster Festival program 🦪🦪🦪

May 18 from 12:00 - 21:00 at the restaurant Buržujs Berga Bazārs (Bergs Bazaar)

From 12:00 - 17:00, the creative workshop for children will be open, which this time will be located in the premises of the gallery ISSP (at the Marijas Street exit of Berg Bazaar). From 14:00 there will be an opportunity to participate in photography master classes. Throughout the day, the photo exhibition "History of Modern Photography I" can be viewed there.

From 13:00 - 18:00, the museum Latvians Abroad - a museum and research center (next to the Buržujs restaurant) will be open to visitors, where an exhibition of Jānis Šteinberg's graphics can be viewed. Here everyone will be able to try their hand at calligraphy. Children will be able to become detectives under the guidance of museum teacher Danute Grīnfelde, to notice the details in the graphic works on display.
