Volunteers Will Help Tourists to Discover More About Vilnius

Initiative „Smiling Vilnius with Volunteers“ is in operation in Vilnius, from the 1st July to 27th September, every day from 10.00 a.m. till 8.00 p.m. Volunteers are working in the Old Town of Vilnius handing out the informational material about the points of interest in the city. They are also able to help tourists to find their way around the Old Town of Vilnius as well as will give advice about the places to visit.

The volunteers can be distinguished by their special outfit bearing a badge of tourism information.

The idea for this initiative was encouraged by the growing number of tourists in Vilnius and Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of EU, which is going to even increase a number of the visitors, coming to Vilnius. Therefore, this initiative seeks to facilitate the stay of the guests, coming to Vilnius, and to create an image of a welcoming and friendly city.
