Largest sound installation in Estonian art history opened

Raul Keller's personal exhibition "What You Hear Is What You Get (Mostly)", is open until October 27 in Contemporary Art Museum Estonia (EKKM, Põhja puiestee 35).

Keller's exhibition puts emphasis on sound as a physical notion in room. Through his art, Keller "tunes" the museum's rooms into one unified sound environment. The layered installation covers 450 square metres and three stories of the EKKM building, and is probably the most extensive sound art installation in the history of Estonian art.

The number of Estonian artists working in sound installation is small, but that much more active, and Raul Keller is one of the most prominent artists in the field. He has given concert performances and held exhibitions in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and the Baltic States.
