«airBaltic» Maintains Gender Equality

In 2020, Latvian airline airBaltic has maintained full gender equality in the number of employees within the company. Currently, 47% of airBaltic employees are female. At the same time also over 40% of airBaltic’s top management representatives are women.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “We have been fully committed to achieving gender equality and promoting aviation jobs among women. Striving for efficiency airBaltic for many years has maintained a full gender balance amongst company’s management and has adopted a strict zero discrimination policy.”

Alīna Roščina, SVP Human Resources of airBaltic: “We are committed to an environment where the best people work and in which the respect for the individual is important. As an innovative airline we are setting the example among many other companies. At airBaltic we focus on environmental, economic and social sustainability, thus equality and diversity are part of our identity.”

In 2019, airBaltic joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) 25by2025 gender diversity pledge, committing to increase female participation at senior levels by 25% by the year 2025. In addition, in 2020 airBaltic also supported and signed Latvian Diversity Charter with commitment to strive to adhere to the basic principles of diversity management and respect for employees and society as a whole.
