Free public transportation for car owners during Car Free Week in Tallin

During the annual Car Free Week taking place from September 16 to 22, all car owners have the right to use Tallinn public transport for free, regardless of where they live.

According to Tallinn Transport Department, all car owners may use public transportation on trolleybus, bus and tram lines which are part of the Tallinn unified ticket system. The right to free transportation is granted by a valid driver’s license.

September has been declared Environmentally Friendly Mobility Month in Tallinn, and its main event will be the Car Free Day on September 21, organised as part of European Mobility Week. An event will be held in Männi Park in Mustamäe district at 10AM, and will entail a hike and a bike trek as well as a public transport orienteering competition organised by Tallinn Transport Department.
