The dates for the 38th RIGA FASHION WEEK have been announced

The organizer of RIGA FASHION WEEK, the Baltic Fashion Federation, has revealed the dates for the spring session, which will take place in the Latvian capital from April 8 to April 11. The theme for this season is "Fashion is Art," and the sustainable development course will be continued.

Over the past 20 years, it has become a tradition that along with the long-awaited spring, RIGA FASHION WEEK arrives in Riga. The image for this 38th season of the Fashion Week in Riga was created with the help of a neural network by graphic designer Olga Golovko. "The main image is inspired by the theatrical-dramatic aesthetics of the collections of designer Alexander McQueen. The designer was known for his provocative collections and incredibly creative shows, through which he actualized socially significant ideas. Such a concept is reflected in the theme 'Fashion is Art,'" Olga explains. In the words of the Master himself, "Fashion is a time for experiments and expanding boundaries," and artificial intelligence is here to assist us in that.

"Alexander McQueen's creativity is one of the best examples of contemporary fashion as art. His works continue to inspire many people in various creative professions. By the way, on the occasion of the designer's 55th birthday, we have included a screening of a film about him titled 'McQueen' in the Riga Fashion Week program," adds Elena Strahova, the organizer of the Riga Fashion Week.

The centerpiece of the upcoming Fashion Week is a model in a bright red couture hat adorned with decorative flowers, wearing a black balaclava and a classic-cut cashmere coat with fur trim. The texture of the outfit creates an impression of volume and realism.
