Lottery will urge passengers to come to Riga airport earlier

During the active travel season, urging the passengers to arrive to their flight earlier, Riga International Airport on Monday, 27 June, will commence a lottery "Don’t miss your lucky chance – come to the airport earlier!"

The purpose of the lottery is to make the summer travel time more pleasant for the passengers and to motivate them to arrive at the airport in good time to settle the pre-flight formalities.

In order to participate in the lottery, passengers should arrive at the airport security control at least one hour and a half before their departure. After the security control, at the specially arranged desks they should pick up the lottery application form, complete it and drop it into a box intended for this purpose.

The participants of the lottery will have the opportunity to win Riga International Airport VIP Centre gift card, two return tickets for any destination of the airline airBaltic, a gift basket from ATU DUTY FREE, as well as other valuable prizes. The prizes will be drawn every week until 4 October. The first draw will take place on 4 July for those participants who fill in their application forms in the period from 27 June to 3 July.

The lottery is organised jointly with ATU DUTY FREE and airBaltic. Its Licence Number is 4060, and the rules of the lottery are available on the airport’s website at: www.riga-airport.com, section Passengers.

In the summer season, when travelling is at its peak and the number of passengers tends to increase, Riga International Airport requests the passengers to arrive at the airport two hours before their scheduled departure (especially in the early morning hours).

airBaltic is the largest carrier operating at Riga International Airport. Including two new routes opened this year: to Reykjavik and Rimini, the airline offers close to 60 destinations from Riga, and one of them can be chosen by the winner of the Grand Prize in the lottery "Don’t miss your lucky chance – come to the airport earlier!"

ATU was established in 2000 in partnership with TAV Airports, Unifree Duty Free and Heinemann to become an internationally recognised duty-free operator. Currently, ATU Duty Free is among the 15 largest airport operators in the world. It started its business activities in Latvia in 2011, and currently co-operates with at least 100 international brands, offering more than 70 000 different goods. ATU Duty Free Riga shops offer the classic duty-free assortment, as well as exclusive products that are produced for duty-free shopping areas only. International fashion brands are available at significantly lower price than in city shops.
